Fucking brilliant!!!

So I've been reading a few Yahoo! Answers lately, and I ran across this one, which asked "Can you tell me why your[sic] voting for the candidate that you are?"

One of the respondents wrote (IMHO) this Fucking Brilliant Gem of a response.

Today on my way to lunch I passed a homeless guy with a sign that read: 'Vote Obama, I need the money.' I laughed.

Once in the restaurant my server had on an 'Obama '08' tie. Again I laughed--just imagine the coincidence.

When the bill came, I decided not to tip the server and explained to him that I was exploring the Obama 'Redistribution of Wealth' concept. He stood there in disbelief as I told him I was going to redistribute his tip to someone I deemed more in need--the homeless guy outside. The server angrily stormed from my sight.

I went outside, gave the homeless guy $5 and told him to thank the server inside. He looked at me questioningly, so I explained that even though the server did the work and had earned the money, I decided that he, the homeless guy, was more in need of the money. The homeless guy was grateful.

At the end of my rather unscientific redistribution experiment, it had been clearly proven that while the homeless guy was grateful for the money he did not earn, the waiter was very angry that I gave away the money he did earn, even though the actual recipient deserved the money more.

It seems redistribution of wealth is an easier thing to swallow in concept, than in practical application.........

You want me to give your hard earned money to someone else. This is what I will continue to do daily until the day Obama is out of Office, that is if he makes it.

Vote for the closet Democrat over the flaming Socialist any day.

That is rediculously funny. Also a pile of lies and bullshit, and an obvious plant. BUT STILL - rediculously funny!!

http://voices.washingtonpost.com/fact-checker/2008/10/obamas_redistribution_bombshel.html

(You can edit my post to make that look pretty)

Fact checker shows BOTH candidates have the same view on "redistribution", and that the hysteria the McCain campaign is trying to instill on good natured Americans (such as the one who wrote the fable) is typical political positioning.

Both parties do it well, don't get me wrong, but the Republicans are so over the top on it I can't help but call it out.

I was listening to Fox News Radio (hey, it's VERY entertaining!) on a long drive over the weekend (after listening to CNBC radio, which while far less partisan is sooo much boring in comparison) and they had a "special" on a mock elections at a primary school, so they interviewd one 'democrat' child and one 'republican' child. The Republican child wove such a funny yet incredible story for an 8 year old.

"The democrats will give a man a fish, where John McCain, our nation's war hero, would provide all Americans with a fishing pole and the necessary training to catch their own fish" (I adlibbed a bit, but it was brilliant).

I couldn't figure out if he had a ticker in front of him or if his Dad was holding the cue cards because of the level of articulation.

Funny stuff. Election time is the most entertaining time of the year!

Aye, I got this same "plant" yesterday in one of those viral emails. Funny stuff. ;)

For the record, I can't vote in good conscience for either of the "anointed ones", precisely because I've taken a look at their stands and records. Witty mockery of either goes down nicely over here.

Seems strange from over here, Americans seem more in fear of socialism than guns.

Socialism is bad m'kay...

Lyndon, we know full well there are a lot of people who like socialism. There are even a lot of people who socialism is the best option for (France for instance). However, those with a little bit of ambition, a drive to make something better of/for themselves, socialism is like a noose around the neck, tied to Hummer, tossed into the Marianas Trench.

Some of us don't like footing the bill for all the dead weight around here. Unfortunately we started letting the do-nothings vote. They've been voting themselves more and more gifts, out of my pocket, year after year.

LOL great stuff. I'm going to have to agree with Chris on this one. The story smells like a plant from a neocon studying at the Karl Rove school of political hard knocks.

This country IS socialist in many ways: Social security, Food stamps, Unemployment, FDIC, government "grants" for new businesses and college tuitions, WIC, Section 8 housing, Minimum Wage, price fixing, subsidies; all are socialist in nature. Do we ever hear a politician complaining about these programs? Hell no. Wait, except Ron Paul ;-)

We live in a nation with many dee dee dees. People who don't get it, don't want to get it, but sure do love to bitch about it. I love the old man who is mad.... REALLLLY MAD at Mccain for handing the country over to the "socialists". I'm so sick of the media pasting these morons on the news for 2 weeks without pointing out the fact that they are incredibly stupid.

The homeless dude in the comment won't see a dime of Obamas redistribution of wealth anyway because he probably hasn't filed a tax form, much less had a physical address, in years. If anyone is going to benefit, it's going to be the family living in section 8 housing, on social security, working 25 hours per week for minimum wage -any more than 25 and they lose their social security- and who have 6 kids 2 of which are applying for college grants. God bless the welfare state.

Welfare state, Wolf? Noooo, it's about homogenization ("equality") and patriotism. Quit expressing independent thought and get back in the bank run line, Comrade. ;)

Tongue out of cheek, isn't the line "equal opportunity", not "equal results"? Where's the personal responsibility? Oh, right, it left the public debate (this election cycle) when people mocked Ron Paul for daring to challenge the status quo with something other then "change" rhetoric. Bleh.
