Happy Father's Day

I know, I know, it's not Father's (or should that be Fathers'?) Day yet, but I just got this in my email and thought I'd share.

Beretta's products are a little on the pricey side (for me, or maybe I just don't buy outdoors gear at full price) so any chance to save a few dollars is always appreciated. I'm also very happy with my Beretta products, and they're a name I've come to associate with quality. You don't have to support Beretta if you don't want, this is just one choice of many available to you to help make this Father's Day a little more special, while also saving you money.

One last word of advice from the Cap'n. Treat every day you spend with your parents as if it's the last, because one day...it will be.

the 'power knuckles' with the half cocked shotgun slung casually over the shoulder (AND FREE KNIFE!) is just... that is to say it's.... hm.

OMG! I totally did not see the 'power knuckles'. That's hilarious! :D

To be honest, one of my fondest childhood memories is hunting rabbits with my Dad. He had his semi-auto, I had a single shot. I'd take the first shot because Dad could follow up with multiple shots if (when ;) I missed. Either way, we always took a few rabbits home for the pot.

Many years later when I became a self-employed gardener one of my clients (a widow from my Church) asked if I knew someone who could take care of the rabbits plaguing her estate. Which is how I wound up pulling double-duty as both gardener and exterminator, and once again found myself providing rabbits for our stew pot.

Now I own a Beretta 96G that only serves range duty, but if I had my druthers (I think that's what they say) I'd prefer a semi-auto shotgun...maybe something by Beretta ;)

my dad was a fish nut :) flyfishing, trout from the river, anything that lived in the water and could be convinced to bite a hook.

after many years he went catch and release, and I would still go with him for father son bonding etc, but fishing bores me to tears. and tangled lines? forgeddaboudit.
