How much time, part II

Continuing from last week's post.

On Sunday, July 11th, I played for three sessions of 130 minutes, 184 minutes, and 177 minutes, or for the mathematically-challenged 8 hours and 11 minutes. With the next day being a work day I logged out at 10:35pm.

I didn't play at all on Monday and on Tuesday put in just 70 minutes, logging out at 8:30pm when my attempt at Tanking Utgarde Keep on my properly spec'd, def-capped Death Knight crashed & burned. That was also the end of my week's WoW time.

So this past week I played for a shade under 9 1/2 hours, with almost all of that time being on Sunday. Compared to last week's 41 hours this is also not really an example of my regular playing habits, rather an average of the two is more realistic, or it would be if I hadn't canceled my subscription.

It is until you consider I watch very little television, especially during the summer months where the only 'Must Watch' series is Dr. Who; the only other shows I'll watch regularly & religiously are House and NCIS which are both on summer hiatus.

So while other people might come home from work and relax (& maybe fall asleep) in front of the Tele' for several hours each night, before crawling into bed to watch more TV before falling asleep (again), I'll play video games.

This has been a long-held 'bone of contention' with many Gamers, that staring at the TV for several hours a night is a socially acceptable way to spend an evening, but staring at the TV for several hours a night while playing video games is not.
